Loving, Utterly and Completely

Day 43 February 12, 2014
Love Self

“When you love yourself, utterly and completely, all of yourself, what you will discover then is that you love others, all others, utterly and completely.”―T. Scott McLeod

Image 6 - Version 2

“When we  love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections.  If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create.” ―John Lennon

“Not only do self-love and love of others go hand in hand but ultimately they are indistinguishable.”―M. Scott Peck

Then Jesus stood up again and said to her, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?”  “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”  -John 8:10,11

Lord, teach me to be as gentle and forgiving with my self as you were with this woman expecting to be stoned by her accusers.  Save me from my own self-oppression and self-condemnation.   May this pure love of myself as God’s creation flow through me into those I encounter in my daily life.  Thank you for your grace.  Amen.
