“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.”  – Albert Schweitzer

“Whatever our individual troubles and challenges may be, it’s important to pause every now and then to appreciate all that we have, on every level. We need to literally “count our blessings,” give thanks for them, allow ourselves to enjoy them, and relish the experience of prosperity we already have.” ~Shakti Gawain

“O Lord, your compassions never fail and your mercies are new every morning.  We give you thanks for relief from pain and hope of health renewed. Continue the good work you have begun; that we daily increase in bodily strength, and rejoice in your goodness.  May our lives and conduct always please you as an offering of our gratitude; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.   -Book of Common Prayer 1979, adapted
