Celebration Prayer

Day 16 January 16, 2014
PRAYER

“Prayer adds an element of surprise to your life that is more fun than a surprise party or surprise gift or surprise romance. In fact, prayer turns life into a party, into a gift, into a romance.” ―Mark Batterson

PASO DOBLE  by Ruth Williams
Each day is a blessing of epic proportions.
I give thanks for what might seem meager comforts:
real cream in my coffee, a day without a bill in the mail,
the Paso Doble.
Sometimes life is a dance a woman has to do backwards
pushing against the wind and obstacles in the way.
Thank You for being the partner who always leads.

Life can be hard.  The Practice of The Presence of God makes it easier. As Brother Lawrence said, “There is not in the world a kind of life more sweet and delightful than that of a continual conversation with God.” ―David Paul Kirkpatrick

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:4-7
