“Accustom yourself continually to make many acts of love, for they enkindle and melt the soul.”  Saint Teresa of Avila

Good science project for kids:  Freeze ice in muffin pans.  Unmold and sprinkle with salt.  Put a few drops of food coloring on top.  Voila!  Let the melting begin!  Soon the coloring fills in the cracks and divots in the ice and makes beautiful swirls of color on the plate.  Colorful!

“Work with ice cubes today.  Bonus:  Document the ice while it melts.”-from 365 A Daily Creativity Journal by Noah Scalin

Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate.  -Albert Schweitzer

Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee,

God of glory, God of love;
Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee,
Praising Thee their sun above.
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness;
Drive the dark of doubt away;
Giver of immortal gladness,
Fill us with the light of day!
