Christ’s Peace

Day 226  August 15, 2013

“Seek peace and pursue it.”  -1 Peter 3:11

“52 pickup.  Use a deck of cards to make something today, or make a unique playing card, or really challenge yourself and make an entirely original deck of cards.”  from 365 A Daily Creativity Journal by Noah Scalin

Today I am at a most beautiful retreat center on the shore near Annapolis Maryland.  As we worshipped I looked out the walls of windows and was amazed by the multitude of images that were living testments of scripture.  Water stretched for miles carrying  zillions of white sailboats upon its reflection of the heavens.  White birds flew and dove creating movement grace.  Children played together smiling and singing and their dance of play was an image of joyful celebration.

We were celebrating inside, too…singing hymns and other happy music, sharing the peace of Christ with one another, praying prayers for needs, for healing…prayers of gratitude and thanks giving, prayers combining together to create a new Psalm of Peace.

Outside – beautiful peace.  Inside – beautiful peace.

Thank you, God for this day.  Amen
