Painted Words

Day 215  August 4, 2013

“I like good strong words that mean something…”  -Louisa May Alcott

“Legal graffiti.  Create an image on a wall using water sprayed from a squirt gun or spray bottle. ”  -from 365 A Daily Creativity  (note: totally adapted this to what I had on hand….crayons and paper.  After all, isn’t graffiti all about breaking the rules?)

“Such is my relationship with God: on my gigantic canvas of life, I am the one throwing all of the brightly-colored paints, creating genuine splatters, authentic whirlpools of color, beautiful patterns, wonderful streaks and stains and wild accents; God is the one with the paintbrush who stands beside my canvas filling all the intricate and amazing details in between the whirlpools and the streaks! We’re happy together!”  – C. JoyBell C.

“All you need to paint is a few tools, a little instruction, and a vision in your mind.”  -Bob Ross

“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”  -Mother Teresa

Love God, Love Christ, Love Others. I am passionate about creating Missional Relationships that encourage disciples to personify Christ's message. As a minister in a Community of Christ congregation in Virginia I am learning everyday what it means to be vulnerable, to risk, to experiment, to share in a world that needs the redemptive healing of Christ.
