Day 166  June 16, 2013

“A sense of humor… is needed armor. Joy in one’s heart and some laughter on one’s lips is a sign that the person down deep has a pretty good grasp of life.”  -Hugh Sidey

“Get medieval.  Make a piece or suit of armor.  It could be for you, an animal, or any object that needs protection.”  from 365 A Daily Creativity Journal by Noah Scalin

HAPPY FATHERS’ DAY TO ALL THE DADS WHO WRAP THEIR HEARTS IN PIERCED SHINING ARMOR….STEELED FOR STRENGTH IN PARENTHOOD AND PIERCED TO ALLOW LOVE, LAUGHTER, AND LIFE TO FLOW INWARD AND OUTWARD.

The king of Israel answered, “Tell him: One who puts on armor should not brag like one who takes it off.”  -1 Kings 20:11

Ephesians 6 :13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. 15 As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. 16 With all of these, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
