Holy Transformed

Day 13 – January 13, 2013

“Use tea leaves or tea bags (used or unused) or even just liquid tea to create something today.” – from 365 A Daily Creativity Journal, by Noah Scalin

“Bread and water can so easily be toast and tea!” -Author Unknown

An old lamp hanging around my home since 1979 was destined for the “going out the door” pile.  It seemed to have used up all its potential and style.  But a “baptism” of tea on the linen lampshade and a bit of flat black paint on the base transformed it and gave it new life.  A ring of cloth posies and buttons made it all the more lovable for its’ wear and tear.  Isn’t that the way of the transformative power of the Holy Spirit?  What was old and stained can be renewed and empowered to bring light into the dark places of the world.

Tea stained book pages combined with an assortment of ephemera.
